Fraser Island Maheno Ship Wreck 2019

The SS Maheno was washed ashore in 1935 after breaking loose from her Tow Line. She was on route to a Shipbreaker in Japan. When the Tow Line came free during a Cyclone, the Maheno was left to drift, finally coming to rest on the Eastern Side of Fraser Island, where attempts to refloat her failed. The Waves and perpetual weather have taken their toll on the SS Maheno which is slowly being returned to the Ocean.
